Maren Scheuner, MD, MPH

Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics, School of Medicine

Dr. Scheuner is an internist and clinical geneticist. She is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology-Oncology and Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Medical Genetics at the UCSF School of Medicine. She is the Chief of the VISN 21 Genomic Medicine Service for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She is a health services researcher focusing on equitable access to genetic services, care coordination for genomic medicine, and delivery models for clinical genetic services. She is the Health Services and Implementation Research section editor for Genetics in Medicine. She has served on the board of directors for the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. Since 2003, she has represented medical genetics on the national Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s Medical Advisory Panel.
